While it has several hokey elements, Interstate 60 is nonetheless fascinating and oddly compelling. The scenes don't necessarily flow that well together - certainly not creating any valuable or coherent encompassing narrative --, and the whole movie is an exercise in pop-philosophy, but, that being said, I couldn't stop watching it. It was so original, so gutsy and intellectual that I had to keep going. So many memorable characters that I can see myself thinking about this one for quite a while. I would certainly find a space for it in my top 100 scripts of all time (save for a rather unfortunate ending).
Unfortunately, it just felt like a dramatic performance of a great brainy screenplay rather than a film. At least Gary Oldman was his usual amazing self.
