the atmosphere is fantastic, it actually made me wonder if silent hill creators saw this movie...
but the static scenes are extended so much that it hurts the pacing. don't get me wrong, ozu and tarkovsky are two of my all time favorite directors but in here it just does not work. it does not feel organic and tends to test your patience. maybe that was the intention, i don't know, but it builds a wall.
in the end i don't regret that i watched this, but the caveat is big: it borders on the boring. 1 month ago -
